Jørn Utzon in retrospective solo exhibition

In 2018 Jørn Utzon would have celebrated his 100th birthday. DAC honors the Danish starchitect with the solo exhibition “Horisont” presenting Utzon’s many travels and his curiosity for foreign cultures which influenced his iconic architecture.

Utzon was inspired by temples and the shape of their roofs – almost free floating above elevated platforms. And it was this illusion of the floating roof that he wanted to recreate for the Sydney Operahouse.

Elin Forslund at Form/Design Center

Swedish glass artist Elin Forslund is the Designer of the month at Form/Design Center in Malmö. Her hybrid art will be on display there until November 30th. Forslund is born in Stockholm but educated in glassery and product design in Denmark where she also resides these days. Expect to see imaginative metamorphoses and clashing materials.
